The ubiquitous blue FRENCH WORK JACKET 1800 – to present day.
I recently re-watched the film The Prophet (Director Jacque Audiard) and was reminded yet again of this everlasting style of the work wear jacket adorned on the films inmates – how stylish they looked!
For me the French work wear jacket exemplifies the perfect balance between style and function. Something we try to reach in all of our work here at The Uniform Studio. The electric blue tone of the fabric, simplicity of it’s cut and useful pocket combination just about ticks all the boxes for a perfect work wear piece. We doff our cap to the French workers of the 1800’s that made this a truly iconic garment .
